I enjoy using Miro products especially the context diagrams, functional diagrams, cross-functional diagrams and flowcharts. My experience would be even better if you could include legends. Example, I will create a flowchart, I will put it in the frame and underneath the flowchart and within the frame I would like to see the legend of the flowchart.

Would love this - very often we’re adding flowcharts or data models and using colors (for example) to represent different areas of the chart or data models. Adding a legend for these is time consuming at the moment.

It would be great to have a legend component, for example that was filtered on a certain aspect of a diagram and just lists out the items that need to be named. For example, maybe in the data model we could have a legend filtered on color, so it would list the colors and add new ones if a new color is in the diagram. I think colors would be a really common one. Or shapes for a flow chart (not all users are familiar with flow chart shapes).

I often make diagrams showing the flow through different parts of our code architecture and I use colours to show the different classes or files or packages or ideas. I use the text and flow of the flowchart to show code flow, and then colours to show code architecture. Having some sort of legend component is necessary in this setup to indicate what the different colours represent.

This would also be useful for shapes or images. e.g. I occasionally use an image to indicate when a code flow passes a multi-threading boundary.

For my uses it’s not necessary for the legend to auto-generate. It would mostly be nice to have a legend component that I can fill out with the data that’s relevant to my chart.
