It would be very very cool to have a Pen tool similar to the one in Adobe Illustrator with controllable anchor points, and Beziers to be able to draw more complex shapes effortlessly.

+1I have considered this over the years, too, and it finally hit a point of escalation in me and I went to post / search in the Wish List. Thank you for initiating a year ago. I am 1,000% in support of this functionality.
An even further extrapolation of this feature / idea would be to apply it to Masks, too, not just shapes. Final extension would be the ability to turn vector information (specifically fonts) into shapes and allow their anchor points to be adjusted.
