There are some boards in my organization that I need to look at frequently but rarely need to edit and it would actually be detrimental if I did. I wish there was a way I could turn off edit mode when looking at a board and this setting would be saved for that board until I enable edit mode again.

Additionally, it might be useful for people who own a board to be able to disable edit temporarily for other people on the board when running a workshop or something along those lines.

Wouldn’t you be able to set one of the current boards as read-only and then re-enable one of the read-only boards back to write?

While a number of roles in Miro can set a board’s state to View only, the board owner (and co-owner) will always be able to edit the board.

It’s worth noting that a user can even block themselves from editing (or even accessing) boards they do not own by setting a board from Edit to View, Comment, or No access.
