When using mindmaps for planning, I often copy the content and use it as a basis when writing up tasks or project planning. However I find it very confusing why the sequence is moved out of order when copying the content.
For example, the tree below seems to copy from top to bottom and left to right. I would expect it to copy following a tree-traversal algorythim like the depth-first search, or at least have an option to copy persisting “the structure”
Just to follow up, this is only an issue when using the auto layout feature. By manually ordering the layout like the following image I can get it to export as expected but it’s much uglier and just strange
To keep it consistent every child node needs to be positioned below and to the right of its parent node
