line jump to scale the 'jump' based on line thickness

When using line jumps, if the line thickness is too great the ‘jump’ becomes indistinguishable from the general line thickness (except for this small bump. 

Line thickness = max
Line thickness where line jump become recognisable again
Line jump when the line below it is max thickness

Please make it so the line jump can either:

  1. be controlled by the user
  2. automatically scale the ‘jump’ with the thickness of the line it is jumping over
