THE ABSTRACT

Please make it possible to toggle comments on/off with a keyboard-shortcut.

THE PROBLEM

If I am screensharing a miro board in a meeting, I often want to toggle off the comments so that the actual content of the board is better visible and to minimize distractions.

Currently this requires this procedure:

  1. Click on sidebar
  2. Click on comments
  3. Click on “hide comments”

THE (POSSIBLE) SOLUTION

A keyboard shortcut. E.g. in Figma there is SHIFT + C.

Yes please!!

Today I discovered that when I share a board with guests, all comments are shown (no option to hide comments from guests).

This is not a problem per se (my comments do not contain information that the guests shouldn’t be able to see), but I have a lot of comments and they tend to get in the way of the diagrams I made.

Therefore, a keyboard shortcut ánd separate button (in the zoom controls and navigation toolbar - https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017730553#Zoom_controls_and_the_navigation_toolbar) to quickly hide comments would be very useful. This allows my guests to hide the comments at a button press.

The current 3-step process is too bothersome.

+1, it’s would be really helpful when you showing board to some stakeholder, and “one click Hide comment” command will make Miro board much cleaner IMHO :)

For those that didn’t take notice yet … we now have a shortcut (Shift+C) to show/hide comments! A big thanks to the Miro team 🎉!
