It would be really useful to be able to draw freeform shapes that have a colour fill.
We are architects and using Miro to run design workshops remotely. It’s really useful to be able to colour parts of a drawing in to illustrate ideas, but only rarely does what we want to colour relate to the predefined filled shapes available.
Could work with the existing freeform line tool, adding the ability to connect the two ends to make a closed shape, or could be a standalone drawing tool.
Hi @Tasman Munro
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback about the freeform shapes. We apologize if this has created any frustrations when working in Miro.
We will be sure to share this feedback with our team and update this thread if this feature becomes available.
In the meantime, for those coming across this idea, if you feel this would be helpful for you or your business, please be sure to vote for it and leave a comment about your use case to help our team scope this request.
A Google search for this feature brought me here. Please add this feature
Would help a lot to have this feature. +1
Please provide a fill option to the freeform
Count me in on this!
I would use it to draw irregular forms, such as poliforms within a radar diagram.
+1! Would be super useful for annotating architecture diagrams
Would love to have free form polygons to highlight certain areas on drawings.
I really need this feature too!!
+1 - a filled polygon drawing tool would be very useful
This feature would help me quite a bit. I am looking to ‘highlight’ and codify various scopes on sets of architectural drawings, and doing this with the highlighter tool is not sufficient. Similarly, the stock shapes do not work when you have to do something more complex than a rectangle.
Hi @Lucas Treder

Thanks for your input and for helping improve Miro!
This thread started 4 Years ago and we are still waiting for this really basic feature. Shame on you - can’t be so difficult to add a freehand polygon
+1 we badly need this - freeform with fill color option
How do people cope with Miro without Bezier curve and polygon fill?
This would be extremely useful and is a serious deficit in Miro’s capabilities.
Yes, polygon tool or freeform tool, with the same ability to fill as other objects. Would be very very useful.
In the meantime, perhaps I can ask an LLM or GPT to draw me an SVG of (fill in the blank).
This would be extremely useful! We use filled shapes extensively for diagrammatic design presentations.
Yes, this is something that would be super useful. It do exists in Google Drawings, but even there it’s not perfect, because you can not add or delete points on the polyline.
Pleeeeese update with this feature soon :)
What a basic feature. It is hard to believe that this discussion is going on for five years now.
