Erase only a piece of line

For me it would be a great improvement if we could erase juste a piece of line (like in “Microsoft Whiteboard”).
In fact two erasers would be perfect : an eraser like in “Microsoft Whiteboard” and the one that already exist in Miro.

I would also like to have an option of erasing the whole board “clear the board”, similarly as in AWW. I I wish to have 3 modes of eraser: erase an alement, erase a part of an element, and clear the board.

Yep I agree with these suggestions! :thumbsup_tone1:

Coming from MSFT Whiteboard, this is my biggest gripe.  I found this gap within 30 minutes of using the tool.  There should be a better what than creating a whitebox or scribbling a “white line” on top of an existing line.

There should be two modes.  Erase full stroke, Erase part of a stroke and a toggle of “only erase the element based on matching the color”

Hi @Gaël BOURY

Thanks so much for sharing this idea: it’s been a popular request, and we’re happy to let you know that it’s now available in Miro!

We’ve introduced a new Precision Eraser that lets you erase just part of a pen line without removing the whole drawing. You’ll now find two eraser options on the toolbar:

  • Precision Eraser for erasing specific sections

  • Classic Eraser for removing the entire stroke in one go

For more details and how to use it, check out our Help Center Article.

We hope this gives you the control you were looking for. Thanks again for helping us make Miro better! 💛
