Duplicate / clone elements via Web SDK

Using the Web SDK, I want to duplicate existing images a Miro Board (and move the duplicate to a specific position).

Trying to read the image.url always returns an empty url string.
Thus using “createImage” is not possible, as this requires the image.url.

Considering a solution, I propose a more generic approach / have this feature request:
A possibility to clone existing elements on the board via the Web SDK.

Was it helpful?

@Will Bishop - Is the preferred method of requesting Web SDK/REST API functionality through the

Miro Developer Platform Roadmap site?

Thanks, @Robert Johnson. I am not so familiar with your processes.

I added the topic to the mentioned Miro Developer Platform Roadmap site.
Closing this issue here (would be fine for me).

@Jens Thiemann

I am not so familiar with your processes.

I am a volunteer moderator of this forum and not an official “Mironeer”, so I am looking for the best place to direct community members too. I just recently learned about the Roadmap site from a comment by Will in the Miro Developer Platform Discord space (something you may want to join yourself!).

The link can be found at the bottom of the Miro Developer Platform landing page:
