Customize fields on AzureDevOps cards

I want to be able to add other fields on the Azure cards, like Iteration or Target date. We use Miro for syncing dependencies between teams and ARTs, and then it’s handy to see the handshaked sprint or time on the card without opening each work item in AzureDevOps.

It’s already available for Jira integration, Jira Cards – Miro Help Center, would be fine to get also support for AzureDevOps

I wish #AzuredevOps cards should be available for “Teams” plans too, not for Enterprise only :D

Customizing the Azure Cards would be a big advantage - e.g to see the iteration or the estimation and hide other unimportant fields.  Please Vote for it :D

Same for me. Especially for prioritizing this make sense. Also business value etc is missing too

2 years since this req. was opened -  is a very long time to get this integration work right.

I miss to the ADO “Area path” as an general field option to filter on ect.

I have started using the ADO link in the last few weeks and there are definitely some tweaks that need to be made. Would Miro consider a working group to look at what the options users want are?

I think start and end dates are some of the most important fields for project organization in Miro.

Yes, you can customize the fields shown on Azure DevOps cards. Go to Boards → Board settings → Cards, then choose the card layout and select which fields to display. You can also add custom fields to work item types through Project Settings → Process (if you're using an inherited process).

Keep in mind that some system fields can't be removed, and the level of customization depends on your process type and permissions.

Thanks for the information. However, as far as I understand, only the following fields are currently supported and can be displayed on Azure Cards in Miro:

  • Title
  • Project
  • Type
  • State
  • Description (view-only; editing has limitations)
  • Parent Work Item
  • Assignee
  • Priority
  • Story Points
  • Area
  • Iteration
  • Acceptance Criteria

Unfortunately, additional fields such as Start Date and End Date cannot currently be displayed or configured.

Please let me know if I've overlooked anything. 😊

Yes, it's possible to customize the fields displayed on Azure DevOps board cards. Go to Boards → Board Settings → Cards, then select the work item type (User Story, Bug, Task, etc.) and add the fields you want to appear on the card.

We've used this to display things like Priority, Story Points, Assigned To, and custom fields to give the team more visibility without opening each work item.

One thing to keep in mind is that adding too many fields can make the board cluttered, so it's usually best to limit card information to the data that helps the team make day-to-day decisions.
