If we’re organizing our ideas in miro it would be nice to relate them to files on our local drives. You add an image, notes, whatever and create a link to specific file or folder on your local machine or a network drive. Instead of a URL, the link is a file path.

Use case: I’m an industrial designer. I use miro to organize my inspirations and to build collections and connections across multiple products. The visual organization is perfect for seeing how products relate. When an idea hits from looking at my board I can open up a folder location from miro and open the file for the 3D model of that product.

I still have to manage my own file system, but if done carefully Miro can serve a whiteboard version of my own harddrive.

Teams would utilize this feature via a shared network drive.

a nice new facelift with no fix to a highly requested funtion is kinda lame. i feel like it’s a pretty simple ask and i see requests all over the community. it would be so nice to have as internet files and articles, tweets, etc. are deletes by users so often. i want to be able to link pictures and word docs from my local drive to miro. please, please, pretty please? it’s like the only funtion missing for this app to go from good to great in my opinion.

We are a team that relies heavily on a workflow that requires fast switching between our Miro boards and local files and folders, with a focus on seamless drag-and-drop functionality. The addition of the feature mentioned above would significantly enhance our workflow and further increase our enthusiasm for using Miro as a collaborative platform.
