It’s a small but important thing: whenever I wrap text in single or double quotation marks I am getting the straight inch marks instead of the “curly” – and proper – quotation marks (here it is correct, btw.). Given, that everything else is so well designed, this is a strange oversight.

@Thomas Noller I agree, never liked those horrific straight inch quotation marks. 😅 It's a pretty common oversight on the web in general though.


It does seem odd not to be able to set something like this in Preferences. It wastes a fair bit of my time going back and changing every apostrophe and quotation mark because it defaults to the wrong type. 


How it’s not an obvious setting is “beyond me” — they even appear in this text field! Been on Mac since the late 1980s, on iPhone for five years (and available with a long press since at least the second OS?). Get it together Miro! It’s sort of pathetic that it’s not an option, or at least the default.
