Connection Lines - be able to set alignment, i.e. ensure it is completely horizontal or vertical

Hi,

I am using the connection lines to create lines that are not connected to other objects.

 

I would like the lines to be completely horizonal or vertical however I am finding that I can only do so via the steadiness of my hand.  It would be great to be able to set the alignment of the line so that I know it is completely straight.

+1 When creating diagrams and process maps I use lots of connectors and it takes lots of time assuring all connector lines are really horizontal or vertical so the visualization looks clean and professional. This instance happens to me mostly when connecting many boxes of different sizes and in different locations with connectors. As Imarsh05 mentioned, you need to rely on a steady hand to get it right. Pressing shift only helps if the connector doesnt connect to a shape. which is usually never the case.

Wondering why this feature doesn’t have more votes.
