Actually paid plans for individuals are not available; Starter and Business plans require the purchase of at least 2 licenses. So I have to share the account, even if I don´t like. Otherwise I have to pay the double price. Why there aren´t plans for individual with the same options like Business? That´s my wish :-)

There’s a huge amount of creative freelancers around. At this moment, Miro is not an attractive solution for them because of the minimum of 2 licenses. Please reconsider.

Upvoted too.

I only found this thread after Support confirmed to me that there’s no longer any way to keep a single-seat Starter plan - even for existing customers.

I genuinely hope more solo users upvote this. Forcing one person to pay for two seats just doesn’t make sense!

Miro, please reconsider this. You’re going to lose customers over a policy like this!!

Hi,

We are a very small cultural NPO. We would like to have a business plan for all the functionality that Miro provides with, but the 2 minimum licences policy don’t allow us to switch to it, too expensive for our structure, and we don’t need 2 licences.

please consider changing this policy,

Good day, everyone. You’re not alone, I’m facing the same issue.

I’m disappointed that Miro now requires me to pay the price of two users for a one-user plan. It feels as the customers are being asked to help fund Bending Spoons’ acquisition by paying for a seat they don’t need.

I’ve spent many years building projects in Miro and have been a loyal customer. I’d like to keep using it, but this pricing feels unfair and is much higher than comparable alternatives. Because of this unexpected change, I’ve started using Mural and FigJam and I’ve already moved three projects over this week to try them out.

Mural and Whimsical offer competitive alternatives with fair, per-seat pricing: one price for one seat, with comparable features and useful AI tools. Both cost around $12 per seat. Figma also offers fair pricing, with plans under $20 that include a full FigJam seat.

I hope Miro will reconsider and offer a single-user license on its Business and Starter plans within the next month or two. I’m not the only customer considering a move. People I know are starting new projects in Mural, Whimsical and FigJam. The longer Miro takes to reconsider, the more likely we are to build our projects and collaborations elsewhere and not return.

For a little while I could actually get a starter plan with one member, now it changed back unfortunately… Will find a different, permanent alternative...
