Thanks for sharing your thoughts, everyone!

Currently, the option to convert a company admin license to "Free Restricted" is available on Enterprise plans. Unfortunately, for users on other paid plans, this option isn't available yet, and we don't have any updates from the team at the moment. However, we are keeping a close eye on this, and as soon as we hear anything new, we’ll update the thread.

In the meantime, we recommend checking the Miro changelog for weekly updates on new features and improvements. Thank you for your continued feedback!

Honestly, this is what I came to look for as well. We’re only planning to have four members for the time being, and signed up with four licenses for the business plan. However, our users are non-technical and wanted me to manage billing, setting, SSO configuration, user administration, etc. I won’t actually be using Miro whatsoever. It would be great if I could not consume a full license in the process.

Same problem… We have our backoffice, who will be in charge of the billing, but even if they are only billing admin, they need to be removed from the team so they don’t take up a license? We are a very small business with starter licenses and it is a little frustrating, that solutions are only provided for enterprise plans.

Hey, I’m also serving as an admin and I don’t need a license. Other softwareproviders have this option, like autodesk.

Hi,

I have the same issue than you. I’m member of the IT team and don’t use Miro, but only manage the users.

For the first team we had, I bought a license for my account (which is not really a bad thing), but now, I have a second team, and I’m olbiged to pay a second license for my account to mange the second team.

This admin issue is pretty old. Do you think to work on it soon ?

My use case is identical to OP. This would be an ideal feature to have as a SysAdmin.

More than 3 years and still we have to complain on a community post about this.

If this problem happened on an open source plataform, ok. But we pay for the product and all they can say is: “we need to hear what you want and we will make the best to resolve it”.

They are getting paid, that’s what’s matter to them.

I find myself here with the same frustration and see that this issue remains unresolved for more than 3 years! I need to have administrator access for billing and allocation of licences to our team members as required, I will not be using Miro myself so don’t need a full licence.

Hopefully this issue is escalated to your technical department real soon. FYI Adobe have a great dashboard for company administrators to allocate licences ~ check it out it may provide some inspo.
