Ability to hide Frame title and border

Frames are fantastic tool to help users focus and navigate between specific areas of a large Miro board.

Howevever. their titles and frames often distract users and detract from the visual esthetic of the Miro board.

Miro already allows the ability to set the fill color of Frames to transparent/no color. Similarly, it would be useful to have two additional options for Frames:

  • Hide Title
  • Hide border

This is a feature that gets asked for over and over again, so it is probably time you it was prioritized. 😉

Yes, totally agree! miro, please add this feature!! Being able to hide the frame names would be great! We always delete them but this makes the navigation pane much much less valuable!!

Frames are not just used to navigate, but to organize data when exporting to a spreadsheet. The fact that frames are ugly, and titles cannot be hidden, really destroys my professional visual representation of a canvas I use to help businesses. All the lables are on the canvas, so while the frame needs to be named for export, it does not need to be visible on the canvas. I have about 400 frames on my canvas. I am not using presentation mode because it is a working canvas, not a presentation.

One of Miro’s leading competitors Lucidchart allows you to define sections of a diagram or visual that you want to be a slide when later presenting the visual to others. You can easily turn ON and OFF these 4x3 visual indicators so they won’t be visible when you’re actually working on a flowchart or other visualization.

Miro has FAR more amazing features than Lucidchart, but the inability to turn OFF the visual outline of a frame makes it far LESS useful for collaborating on and presenting visual process flows.

I understand why the gray boxes of the frames and the default titles are there, but ALL that is needed is one simple toggle switch where you can turn them on and off on the board level when you’re working.

Please consider make this small change. It’ll make your product far more useful for those of us that are trying to communicate ideas to others visually.

Thanks!

Brent
