I often facilitate meetings with people who are not logged into miro and often an unknown number of participants via zoom. The permissions needed for integrating zoom and miro are also too clunky and casuse insecurity with people. I’d like to initiate during the session invitations to breakout boards, where participants can select their own board/group they will work on (this will typically match the zoom breakout room they’re in).
Otherwise, I’m currently having to teach participants to pan to different boards or share specific board links via zoom (but this can cause confusion as people need to bounce back and forth between zoom and Miro).
So simply put
- As a facilitator I initiate a miro breakout session
- Participants (as guests) see a pop up to join a board number - that they can self select
- Participants interact on the board, bonus if there’s a timer
- As a facilitator I can decide when to wrap the session and bring everyone back to me
