I couldn’t find an existing wish list idea on this front (and, uh, I kind of wrote a lot). If one / many of these already exist, please link to consolidate upvotes :)
I had some observations surface around the management of Styles, Brand Center and Color that I wanted to share. I might have posted the thoughts elsewhere in the Community, but not as Wish List items:
BRANDS + BRAND CENTER
- Multiple custom-named Brands comprised of Color and Style selections. Could feature an on/off selection for Font (if defined) after selecting the Brand
- Sync of Brands with CC Libraries from Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically focusing on Swatches and color naming conventions (Primaries, Accents, Overflows)
- At the Admin level, real-time addition or removal of Primary, Accents and Overflow through the board rather than through the dedicated Brand Center
- The ability to collapse custom-named Brands when selecting colors
- The ability to group Brands for collapse and filtration when selecting colors
COLORS
- The ability to “Removal All” non-default swatches from the “All Colors” section
- The ability to right-click-copy the hex code from a given color for reference in another environment
STYLED OBJECTS, TEMPLATES and MASTER FRAMES
- The ability to define a Default Brand Style across all Team or Organization accounts (I kind of forget the taxonomy here)
- The ability to define styles on objects, comprised of:
- Fill Color
- Fill Opacity
- Stroke Color
- Stroke Type
- Stroke Thickness
- The ability to locate and scale these objects relative to the aspect ratio of a frame (height and width)
- The ability to load Brand Styles into Styles Objects
- After loading Style Objects into a Frame and creating a Template, the ability to update all default-state Style Objects / Templates. The default-state part is to ensure that anyone who edits their Style Object, either via Brand Style or just by changing the parameters, keeps the changes they made. Kind of like a Master Page and inheritance in InDesign.
This turned out to be a lot! Fun to compile.
