Personal Space or Project Outside of Projects

As a Miro user, I would like to be able to create and organize my own boards in my own personal space or project without needing to put them into a team project, so that I can document and iterate on my own ideas before I share them with others.

I’d like to be able to organize these personal boards how I’d like without cluttering a team project.

This is a feature found in Mural and LucidChart.

Was it helpful?

@DavidsonPWD - For any readers who did not already know, you can create private boards/projects within a multi-user team/space, so that you don’t clutter up the team space.

Private Boards

To hide the board from everyone except for yourself, you would set the “Team” access to “No access”:

Private Projects

If you want to a way to organize/easily find these boards, you could create a Project and DISABLE team access:

It would be nice if a private space was made by default and shown in the left-hand nav for every user like on other platforms.

I agree with Davidson, Board creation is not the way I would expect it to work. The moment I invited someone to view my Miro board it converted it automatically to a Team board, when I was just showing them stuff. Then when they made a board it got created under that team and now im limited to only 3 boards and one of them is theirs.
