Providing admins with more options to manage the content in teams

As team admin I have no permission to edit projects created by team members. I cannot delete miro boards they no longer use or move the boards between projects that I am not part of. I need to ask my team members all the time to grant me more access even though I am a team admin.

I wish for team admin to be able to

  • move boards between projects
  • modify titles/names of projects
  • delete projects that are created by others (condition: send notification to owner to confirm the action of admin to delete project)
  • delete boards that are created by others (conditions: send notification to owner to confirm the action of admin)
Was it helpful?

Hey! I agree with this request, and I also created a similar request that builds on top of this. There needs to be an admin role type that has full access or control to all the content and security settings in the team (or expand team admin control to allow this).

Hi,

I’ve got a similar issue:

we had an issue that our admin has deleted all of us from Miro and now added us again. However, it meant that boards and projects I had created in our account I can no longer delete or move.
It means the dashboard has become somewhat unusable because too much is floating around that no one can manage.
It's impacting onboarding of new team members and also means information is exposed that should not be visible to new members.
I've got admin rights to our workspace, yet still can't complete any of the actions. It feels like a big shortcoming in the Miro which I find frustrating (even though after years of using Mural, I found other features in Miro way better). This is really hindering us from using Miro more effectively.
It'd be great to give workspace admins (even on business, not just on enterprise plans) full control over the boards in there.
thank you

Upvoted this. When a project owner leaves the organisation what are we supposed to do?

Help would be very welcome.

REALLY ODD LIMITATION an admin can’t do this. That’s the general understanding of the admin role in a lot of platforms, they should be able oversee things and correct them on behalf of the entire team.

Just upvoted… I’m finding that being an “Admin” for a business doesn’t mean that much in Miro’s “Business” plan...
