Using the pen whilst moving does weird stuff

Just so I can better understand what you’re trying to achieve, could you let me know what your intended action is when using the pen while the board is still moving?

Also, if you’re able to capture a short screen recording of what you’re seeing, that would really help illustrate the behavior.

Also to clarify, do the issues you're seeing with the pen tool and the connection lines you shared here: https://miro-us.insided.com/developer-platform-and-apis-57/connection-lines-move-slower-than-drawn-object-23837 feel related, or are they separate behaviors? Want to make sure we’re not missing anything if they’re part of the same experience.

If you're open to it, feel free to upload the screen recording to a file-sharing platform (like Google Drive, Dropbox, or WeTransfer) and share the link here. That’ll give us a much clearer idea of what’s happening and help flag it properly to the product team if needed.

So practically when I move the board then let go it travels for a bit of time. This is fine and I like it, but whilst drawing, it acts like the board isn’t moving, so its like I am using a pen on the screen - literally. Its hard to explain, but you’d imagine whilst moving it would create a trail if you hold the pen in one spot on the screen, but it creates a dot and places it where ever you let go.

To fully understand and escalate this properly, it would be super helpful to see a screen recording of the issue in action.

If you don’t have an account set up for Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms, a great alternative is Loom. You can easily sign up using your Google account, record your screen, and then share the link here.

Once we can see exactly how the pen behavior interacts with the board’s inertia/momentum, we’ll be in a much better place to assist or flag it to the product team if it’s unintended behavior.
