REST API for new Miro AI Capabilities

Thank you for sharing your questions regarding the Miro REST API and Miro AI!

At the moment, Miro REST API doesn’t allow using AI prompts as they are only available via the user interface.

It is possible that this feature will be available further in 2025 via SDK methods, but it’s questionable whether Miro API will be able to use AI prompts for item creation.

Please also note that the flowchart is available to be created via REST API experimental methods - please look at this request for more data.

I recently looked abit into Model Context Protocol (MCP, letting wrapping APIs into a layer that helps LLMs understand how to use them as tools).
Now, once many tools and MCPs are added to one LLM agent they get a bit overloaded and they often make syntax errors etc. 

Offloading app specifics to a app specific LLM’s would make this much better. Instead of creating 15 MCP miro tools, one could simply call into the MIRO AI API, that does the rest and will stay well maintained. That would be quiet a leap in automation!
