Looking for API documentation for adding the Miro native swim lane shape.

Does any know where I can find information on how to add a horizontal swim lane shape to a board with an API? I am specifically asking about the Miro native shape.

Miro’s API currently does not provide direct support for adding native swim lane shapes via API. You can create custom shapes or frames to simulate swim lanes, but adding the built-in horizontal swim lane shape programmatically is not supported.

If you want to mimic swim lanes:

  • Use frames with customized size and position for swim lanes.
  • Add rectangles or shapes with text labels to represent lanes.
  • Use the Create Shape API for custom shapes.

@Chady — ​@stevemmitchell appears to be correct — I can find no documentation about creating swimlanes using the Miro developer platform tools. I also do not expect this to happen, ever, or at least given the swimlane’s current architecture.

The swimland diagram shape is actually just a Table — well, not the Table format we now know. The old table is now called a Grid — what it used to be called before it was renamed to Table.
