Hello community,

I am designing a process and I want to have an “info box” - something that I can click on and that will show one or two sentences of information.

  • comment is not suitable
  • card has too many options, I just need to show text
  • flip component is too big and competes with process stage

I have created a button and when clicked, it goes to toolkit explanation, but I would really like to have a simple information popup on click.

Help ❤️

Hi @Dalibor, great question—and thanks for sharing the context!

Just to confirm—am I understanding correctly that you'd like a pop-up text box to appear when an icon is clicked, and then disappear when it's deselected?

If that’s not quite right, could you please share a quick screenshot or short video of the flow you're aiming for? That would really help us understand your use case better.

In the meantime, I’ll follow up with the team to see if a lighter popup interaction is on the product roadmap.

You know how on websites you have an icon ℹ️ and you click on it and a popup appears, with up to couple of lines of text as explanation? I’ve put two examples.

The problem I need to solve is that, while explaining process, I don’t want to put explanation around on postits or as written text. In order to keep the flow clean, I don’t want to put other elements with text. On complex processes, that’s not acceptable.

So, the best possible solution would be to have a button that pops up a small lightbox where I can write explaination of what is the role of the stage (or anything) and than close it (it’s can be closed in different ways, doesn’t really matter).

Right now, I need to use linking so I can drive user to explanation, but that brakes to user flow on the process (see the attachment)

Thanks so much, you rock and really hope you can introduce this simple element ❤️
