I’m experiencing an issue with a draw.io diagram that I created directly within Miro using the draw.io integration (not imported). The diagram was fully built and saved in the board, and no one has made changes to it except for some unrelated sticky notes added elsewhere on the board.
However, when I now attempt to open the draw.io object, I receive the following error:
“Not a diagram file (error on line 1 at column 1: Start tag expected, '<' not found)”
It appears that the draw.io object has lost its XML structure or become corrupted. I’ve tried:
-
Using Miro Board History to revert to previous versions (this didn’t restore functionality)
-
Confirming with my team that no one edited or deleted the object
-
Downloading a board backup (.rtb) — I can provide this if helpful
This diagram is important to a current project, and I’m hoping you can help recover it or restore a prior version that still contains the full editable draw.io data.
