Hi all,

I found out that my plugin is doing quite well and I want to add more features. For that, I need an additional scope, that I haven't used yet. So naturally I wanted to edit the app and just set it. But I get an error, that this is not possible for published apps. How can I add the new scope in order to build new features? The new scope is identity:read, so that I know who the user is.

Hey @Stefan Neidig

First of all, thanks so much for submitting your app to Miro’s Marketplace, we appreciate your contribution!

I’ll be happy to take care of that for you - could you just please provide me with the app ID?

Once you do that, I’ll go ahead and add “identity:read” scopes on your app, and I’ll update this thread once I do that.

Hi Horea,

thanks for the quick reply. Do you mean the client ID? This seems to be the only ID-ish thing I see on my page. Just wanted to check with you before I post it. Also is the scope applied in current installations or does every user need to reinstall or reconfirm it? Or do I just get undefined for the user in exiting installations even tho the scope is present?

Hey @Stefan Neidig

Yes the client ID is same as app ID, I should have been more clear :)

Also - just wanted to let you know - an additional security review will need to be done (it should be very quick though since it’s just a scope change) once you are ready to submit the new app features.

Hope this is all good with you. If so, please send over the client ID and I will add that scope to your app.

Hi Horea,

this is the Client ID: 3458764525398176649. If you need anything, please let me know. Especially in terms of the security review :)

Hey @Stefan Neidig

It’s just been added. Can you please confirm you see it on your side?

Hey @Stefan Neidig, just wanted to confirm, did it work?

Ah sry. Forgot to reply. Yes it worked. I also got to reconfirm the changes when I first opened the plugin. nice feature for developers to add scope changes so easily

Great to hear. @Stefan Neidig Please let me know once you’re ready for a security review and we can kick it off. You can just comment in this thread.

How do we do this? Since a miro plugin is basically a website I can publish updates at any time. The repository itself is private. So you only ever see updates, once they are live. Can you please elaborate?
