I’ve downloaed the Miro app and when I use it for over 15 minutes my computer crashes. Due to
“Video scheduler error”.

Now, I updated all my drivers, checked for viruses etc it’s clean. However the problem persists.

I tired going into the ‘graphics settings’ changing Miro to open with my ‘graphics card’ rather than the integrated graphics setting. No joy.

The final solution, Run with ‘administrator’ for Miro- It seems to be stable but I am unable to drop any files into the window. The functionality has reduced.

Laptop = L502x Graphics card- Nvdia Geforce 540 M , Windows - 10 64 bit Home edition.

It’s a old one but the point was to do work to get work to get a new one !

Any solutions /ideas ?

@K R - If you downloaded the Microsoft Store version, I would suggest trying the version from miro.com/apps - there are differences - more info here: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017572854-Desktop-App

If you are using the version from Miro’s site, you can reset the application data and try again.

  1. Press the  Alt key while on the “boards” tab to expose the menu bar:
  1. Help → Reset application data...

However, if neither are working for you, I would suggest that you open a Miro support ticket:

Hi @Robert Johnson

Thank you for offering a solution, I tried this but my issue still persists. I believe I have a driver issue which was never a problem but windows updates somehow just mess things up even more.

I’ve had every possible error in relation to a display driver.
However 2 years ago when I had two screens connected to my laptop hdmi and vga, there was never an issue.

Anything cpu intensive it’s just shutting it down.

I think it’s more in this area. Old laptop with windows 10 but compatible to run only in windows 8.

@K R - The only thing I can think of is if you try using Chrome and disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome - check out this post:

@Robert Johnson  Trying it out. Hoping it works even on the app.

I have the same problem… Solved?

Thanks

Hi @Vanderlei Calisto , So in the end i realized that my issue was windows 10 running on an old laptop (2011) Though the laptop was an i7 6gb ram etc The drivers weren’t compatible and finally it crashed and it didn’t turn on.

If that’s the case, old laptop - new windows. Got to the change the laptop.

I bought a msi laptop and have an external screen and no issues.
