I am trying to link from one board (where copy link function is available) to an item on another board (where it isn’t). The boards are both in my team and in the same folder.

Any thoughts?

I understand you’re having trouble with the ‘Copy Link’ function being unavailable on some of your boards. Let’s try to narrow down what might be causing this:

  1. Access Level - Are you the owner of both boards, or do you have editing permissions for both? Sometimes, viewing vs. editing permissions can affect the availability of certain functions.

  2. Board Settings - Could you check if there are any differences in the board settings for each? For example, if link sharing is disabled on one board, that might limit your options.

Thanks for your reply.

I am the owner of both boards and also have editing permission set as follows, so still not sure why I cant copy link from Board 1 .

@J28Jones - What item type is the "Copy link" action not showing up on? Can you share a screenshot?
