Why am I unable to edit my two boards?

Dear Miro team and users,

I became a Miro user while I was employed. There, I created a board that is very important to me. It’s a big sandbox for personal projects.

Then I left the company.

A nice colleague managed to recover the board and send me a file.

I downloaded Miro on my personal computer and created a personal Miro account. I purchased a Pro membership to be able to import the file.

I have this board + another new one on my personal account, and none of them have extra team members.

After a few months I stepped back to a Free membership.

My legendary board is not editable anymore (but my second board is).

Also, I can’t copy or duplicate it.

Why is that? Should I be paying $10/month as an unemployed person to continue using my board?

I hope I made the situation clear and understandable but feel free to ask any question.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Louis

@louis.fdluzan Screenshots could help. Even better, a recording, e.g., using Loom. Feel free to DM me the link if you don’t want to share it publicly: https://community.miro.com/members/robert-johnson-304

My first guess is that the board is locked as it was created using a paid subscription, which supports private boards. Now that you are in a Free Plan, you will likely need to change the Team access to Edit - more on this here:

Hi @Robert Johnson,

Thanks for the link, there was a solution that worked for me. I was actually able to duplicate it, and now I have an editable version of it.

You’re a king!

Have a good day,
