Question

What techniques for menu / breadcrumbing where boards have dozens of frames

One of my Miro boards is pushing over 100 frames which I currently manage navigation via text links, then returning via a ‘Main menu’ or ‘Back’ button which has links to the prior frame.

This has worked okay(ish), but I now want to create links to frames whereby they jump around more, but are able to return to their previous frame (not necessarily the logical ‘back’ button.   I know Miro doesn’t do breadcrumbing, but curious how others do customised menu navigation.

Hey, @St Andrews! I have used frame extensively over the years and even created a few frames-based apps using Miro’s Web SDK.

Here’s a Loom where I talk a bit about a few approaches to navigation using frames:

Hi @Stuart Uren

@Robert Johnson ‘s app is great for frames. I’ve written an app which is similar to what you are asking, but probably not exactly what you are asking. You can select different regions on a board (which could certainly be a frame) then save those regions to a list. Later, by clicking on the saved regions in list, you can jump back to those pre-selected regions - in fact, in any order.  So it is a “jump-arounder.” It’s not in the marketplace yet because I am still trying to get enough testers to find any bugs, but you can take a look and even take a test-drive here:

Good luck!  Ken
