Some (but not all) Vimeo videos embedded in the Miro Desktop App (on Windows) can no longer be played. The error message "We couldn't verify the security of your connection." appears. However, everything works fine in the browser version. What could be the cause of this? Re-embedding the videos doesn't change anything, by the way.

Hi @Stefan Schnack

Thanks for sharing your issue in the Community!

The security error you're encountering with Vimeo videos in the Miro Desktop App can sometimes happen due to differences in how the app handles security settings compared to a browser. Here are a few things you can try:

  1. Update the Desktop App
Ensure you're using the latest version of the Miro Desktop App. An update might resolve the issue.

  2. Check Security Settings
Some security software or firewall settings on your Windows might be blocking the connection. Try adjusting these settings or temporarily disabling them to see if it resolves the issue.

  3. Reset app data
In some cases, resetting app data in the Miro Desktop App might help.

  4. Test on Another Network
If possible, try accessing the videos on a different network to rule out any network-specific issues.

If the issue persists, I’d recommend reaching out to Miro Support for further assistance. It might be something specific to how the app is interacting with Vimeo’s security protocols.

Feel free to update us on what works or if you get any additional insights from Support!
