It appears that you can’t use the sorting features of element over video content….meaning….if I want to put an element or a shape or text over a video and use the bring to front...bring to back functionality; it isn’t supported. (I know it’s in beta...but just thought I’d flag if you guys don’t already have it on your radar). Thnx

Hi @Chris Miller

I am a little confused by what you mean?

I absolutely, positively do know there are some bugs with layers and objects like slides, etc. - no question. But in your case, I am a bit confused?

Here I have a .mov file and a shape on a frame. I can select the shape and bring it to the front:

Or I can select the shape and send it to the back:

Is that what you mean?

Cheers, Ken

@Chris Miller I actually ran into this issue myself today.

@Kenneth Ritley I posted about this in the MH channel.

You can layer objects over a video object, but when the video is playing it assumes the highest layer possible, so no objects can be over the video being played - this is similar to when YouTube beds are playing. However, once the YouTube embeds are not playing, they inherit their previous layering position/value. The new video uploads behave differently in that, once the video is stopped, they continue to be on top of all objects until you reload the board.

I can appreciate their may be a technical reason why the video is always on top, but the new video uploads should go back to its previous layering position once the video has stopped playing.
