User Story Map Framework Template - I lose the ability to create new activites after leaving the board

I think I got the same template you’re working on.

I could not reproduce the issue on my end. 

Could you share what actions you took right before the “+” buttons disappeared? Also, have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet (like refreshing the board, duplicating it, or clearing your browser cache)?

If you haven’t tried those yet, I’d recommend giving them a shot. And if you're able to capture a short video while hovering your mouse around the cards (doing so will trigger the + sign to appear) showing the issue, that would be super helpful for us to investigate further.

Thank you ​@Eca .  It manifests itself when returning to a board after initial creation.

1. Create the board from the template
2. Edit and it works fine.
3. Create another just to increase testing space
4. Close the boards.
5. Re-open them
6. Try to add another activity but the ‘+’ is gone as shown in the second screen shot.

I followed the same steps on my end but I’m still unable to reproduce the issue. The “+” signs are showing up as expected when hovering near the cards.

To help us investigate further, would you be able to share a short screen recording showing what you’re seeing? That would really help us get a clearer picture, and I can also pass it along to the support team for a closer look if needed.

You're right — in the screenshot I shared, the "+" signs are visible on all the rows except the yellow “New activity” boxes. I just did another check, and it looks like this can happen depending on the zoom level or if the mouse hover area doesn’t fully register.

Try:

• Zoom in slightly and hover slowly over the sides of the yellow “activity” card — the "+" should pop up.

• If it still doesn’t appear, try refreshing the board and zooming again, or even duplicating the board to test in a new copy. 

• And if you're open to it, a short screen recording of what you're seeing would be a big help so we can investigate further or raise it to support if needed.

Let me know if that does the trick — and if not, we can bring this up to the support team for a deeper look.

This is a very inconsistent behavior.  Sometimes it seems to work and other times it does not.  Selecting and hovering SOMETIMES shows the + add sign.

I have the same problem!!
I created a User Story Map using this template on Friday afternoon - it was very user-friendly with the “+” buttons, etc.
But this morning the “+” buttons have all gone and I need this for a workshop I am running this afternoon.
Very frustrated because I spent hours creating it and now don’t have time to recreate it.
Any ideas how to fix greatly appreciated 🙏

A workaround that has worked for me was copying the Story Map and pasting into the same Miro board - the copy got the “+” signs back (the original didn’t, so just deleted it).
It would be good if Miro could fix the underlying problem, as I’d love to be able to recommend tis template 😊

​@Sandra Atkins this is how you fix it…

• Zoom in
• Zoom out
• do the hokey pokey
• spin yourself about
• try again.
• It only shows the plus when in selection mode not drag canvas mode
• Repeat the hokey pokey
• Spin yourself about
• Try again

Even with that it might not get you the ‘+’ back again.  But it might.

I am using the User Story Mapping and am also having this issue. 

Yep, I could never trust that it would work if I was going into a meeting and had to use it live.
