​@Mooney1000 - I am noting an issue too, where, if the board is open by URL, e.g., pasting in the browser address bar, OR if the browser window is refreshed while he board is open, then the panel opens as expected. But, if I open the board from my dashboard, the panel does not open.

I have submitted a support ticket and will update this post as I hear back.

Note: the issue does not happen in the Miro desktop app (Windows, at least).

Update from the Miro support team:

Thank you for reporting the behavior with Notes not being pinned when opened from dashboard. I was able to replicate the same behavior with Firefox and Chrome.
 
I have escalated to our internal teams for further investigation. I will update you as soon as we have more information to share.

I’ve also tested this on my end and can confirm the behavior:

• The note panel displays correctly when the board is refreshed or accessed directly via a URL.

• However, when reopening the board from the Miro dashboard, the note panel does not stay pinned/open, even if it was previously set to do so.

I’ll continue to monitor this thread and will share any updates here once the team provides further feedback. Appreciate your patience while this is being looked into!

Response from Miro support team is that, unfortunately, this issue will not be fixed.

At the moment, our team will not be addressing the issues with Notes. Miro will be shifting directions with this widget and the main focus will be on Docs. Although currently there is not an option to pin Docs, you can select the 3 dots and Set as Default View. All users accessing the board will have visibility to the docs when entering the board.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause in the short term.
