Question

Undo works differently on certain boards

Hi!

I’ve been using Miro for quite some time, but recently the way whe undo button (shortcut) works has changed for me. What’s weirder, it changed on some boards and not on others. I captured it on video:

It’s incrediby annoying since on certain boards I can’t ctrl+z a mistake. I have to either rewrite everything from scratch or carefully delete what I just wrote. It happens both on the desktop app and web app.

Is there a setting to change back how undo works? Does anyone have the same problem as me?

Thanks in advance for your responses :)

Was it helpful?

HI @Exchromer,

Thanks for bringing this up!

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Refresh or Restart – Try refreshing your browser (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R) or restarting the Miro desktop app.
  2. Test on a New Board – Create a new board and check if Undo works there. This can help identify if it’s a board-specific issue.
  3. Clear Cache – If you’re using Miro in a browser, clearing your cache might help.
  4. Check for Updates – Ensure your browser and the Miro app are up to date.

If the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to Miro Support so they can investigate further. You can contact them here.

Hope this helps! 😊

I have the same issue, i tried to use a board from 3 diffrent accounts, 3 diffrent web browsers and even in Microsoft Teams and the problem was the same everywhere. Other boards work fine but it happens even on a duplicated version of this single board. Please fix it because it is bad to use Miro when undo is so broken.

HI @Wiktor

Thanks for sharing your experience! Since you’ve tested across different accounts, browsers, and even Microsoft Teams, it does sound like the issue might be specific to that board. Have you tried duplicating the board and seeing if the issue persists in the copy?

If the problem continues, I recommend reaching out to Miro Support with details about the affected board. They’ll be able to investigate further. You can contact them by following the steps here: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020185799-How-to-contact-Miro-Support#h_01F010RXA0E1S9C0WFQYX75R6C.
