I purchased a Miro license due to free user restrictions, however now that I am a paying user, the banner telling me to upgrade persists and I’m unable to edit the board.

It’s possible that you’re a member of multiple teams, each with different plans. If that’s the case, you might still see an upgrade banner when you’re in a team that’s on the Free plan. Could you try switching between your teams to check if you can find the one where your paid license is active?
