Tool tip obscuring pen erase tool

Having an issue when using the pen tool on the iPad app. When I tap on Pen, the keyboard shortcut for the pen tool comes up and obscures the Erase tool. I would like to either be able to dock the pen tool so the tips aren’t in the way, or to turn them off, neither of which seem to be available today. Or is there another way? Can you kindly help? Thank you.
