Help!

I was working on an extensive timeline, one that i was anticipating pulling multiple workstreams out of, when suddenly it glitched and came back with the icon below. I cannot revert back, my partner on the board gets the same image, and it seems as if my content has vanished. Can’t find this instance on the question board. Anyone else have this issue?

Hi ​@KA_Crotty thanks for reporting this! That “A private Miro board” screen typically shows when a board is:

  • Deleted

  • Moved to another team

  • Restricted in access (e.g. made private by the owner or admin)

  • Or there's a permission sync issue

Since both you and your collaborator now see this message, it likely means the board's permissions or ownership have changed unexpectedly.

Here's what to do next:

  1. Check your Miro trash bin

    • Go to your Dashboard

    • Look for a “Trash” section in the left-hand menu

    • If the board was accidentally deleted, you may be able to restore it from there

  2. Check your active teams

    • It's possible the board was moved to another team you’re no longer in

    • From your dashboard, switch between teams using the dropdown in the top-left and check each one

  3. Contact Support

    • This case might involve a backend error or ownership glitch

    • Please submit a support ticket with:

      • The board name

      • The board link (if you have it)

      • A short description of when the issue occurred

      • Confirm if you were the owner or co-editor
