Timeline bug: task start date changes automatically

Thanks for reporting this—it definitely sounds unusual. Miro’s timeline shouldn’t auto-adjust task start dates like that unless triggered manually or by an integration.

Here are a few things to check:

1. Any integrations or automations connected? (e.g., Jira, Monday, or third-party scripts that might alter task data)

2. Are multiple users editing the board? Someone else may be moving tasks unknowingly.

3. Does this happen across all boards or just one? Try duplicating the board to test if the issue persists.

4. What browser/app version are you using? Make sure it’s up to date to avoid sync or rendering bugs.

If none of the above apply, this might be a bug. I recommend contacting Miro Support directly with:

• A short screen recording showing the behavior over time

• A screenshot of the task setup

• The name of the board and approximate date when the issue started

Hi ​@Eca ! Thanks for your reply. Last week I’ve attempted more tests - unfortunately I can not reliably reproduce the issue, but from time to time I still get one odd task which seems to be “stuck” to ‘today’ line. This is both for private and shared board. And no, we don’t have any scripts or integration with Jira. I’ll try to gather more data and will create a ticket then. Thanks for your suggestions.

Could be the dates are set to something like today and just keep rolling forward.

Could anyone please let me know that if i invite some members from japan, they definitely would have japanese names and would be written in kanji. So, can Miro render the kanji or will it show error. Because if it doesn’t show exact names, it’ll hard to identify the member. Please let me know if it does. Thanks!
