I would like to create templates from existing boards but the option is not active (greyed text). What prevent me from creating templates from these boards?

I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue on my side — the Save board as template option is active for me.
Could you try duplicating the board first and then see if the duplicate can be saved as a template? Sometimes creating a fresh copy helps bypass restrictions that might apply to the original board.
If the option is still greyed out after duplicating, it could be related to either your plan type or your board permissions. Let me know what happens when you try with the duplicate.
