Sticky Note Issue - Not visible but text only

Could you please let us know if the issue with the sticky notes also occurs when using a different browser—particularly Chrome or Edge? This will help us determine whether it’s browser-specific.

A few more questions that could help us narrow this down:

• Are you seeing this issue on one board or multiple boards?

• Does it happen only with existing sticky notes, or also when you create a new one?

• Are any browser extensions enabled that might affect how content displays (e.g., ad blockers, script blockers)?

• Is your browser and operating system fully updated?

You’ve already tried some great troubleshooting steps—refreshing, reloading, and clearing the cache in Firefox. If the issue continues after checking the above, would you be able to record a short video showing the behavior? This will help us better understand what’s happening.

I switched to Chrome, then it worked. I had this issue when I used Firefox.

 Just now (Monday 04.08.2025) I tested it again. It works now again in Firefox (14.1.0, Windows 11)  too.

What I did in the meantime: I created two other boards within Chrome and worked there. Before I only had one board. 
Also, there was a Firefox update which forced me to restart Firefox. Maybe that was the solution.

thanks for reaching out! I’d like to understand what happens on your end. Could you please confirm:

• Which version of Firefox you’re currently on

• Whether you’ve tried updating to the latest release and restarting the browser

• If the behavior changes when using Chrome or Edge

It would also help if you could share whether this occurs on multiple boards or just one, and if it affects both new and existing sticky notes. If possible, a short screen recording would be very helpful for the team to investigate further.

Hi, same/similar here.

It seems strange. In one board in zoomed out they were visible, but once zoomed in (still pretty far away) the background disappeared. Newly placed was not showing background.

I restarted Firefox then I tried different boards: In one I am not able to even add new sticky notes and I am not able to change color of already existing. In different (the original one tested before restart) board it works now fine.

Firefox 143.0.1 (64 bit). Windows 11. Somewhere behind company firewall/proxy and SSH forwading.

I am having the same issue.  If I zoom far out I can see the sticky notes, but when I zoom in the background disappears, leaving only the text.  Firefox 144.0 (64-bit), Windows 11.  For me, the sticky note functionality is all there: I can add new sticky notes and nominally change the color of existing notes.  But unless I zoom far out, all I see is the text.  Everything works as expected in Chrome.
