I am finding when I create slides with the same aspect ratio the slides themselves are different sizes. They are also adjusting larger / smaller when I copy pictures and content into them. How can I keep my slide sizes consistent? Here is an example of two slides which are 16 x 9 but are different sizes. I have object dimensions enabled for the board.

Hi @William.Smith

I played around a bit and could not reproduce what you mentioned.

I think you are saying you have 2 separate issues: “when I create slides with the same aspect ratio the slides themselves are different sizes.” and “They are also adjusting larger / smaller when I copy pictures and content into them.”

I tried your first case by using the + button to add slides or the menu option - in both cases it created slides the same size. In the second case, no matter what I pasted in the slide size did not reset.

If you have more specific details or a screen-wise flow screenshots I am happy to try reproducing. But . . . not everyknow knows this so in case you don’t: Miro does get screwed up from time-to-time, and refreshing the cache (such as doing a hard-reload e.g. CMD-R on Mac Chrome) will often fix strange behaviors. It’s also the time like this when someone asks: on all browsers (Chrome, Safari) or in the app or ….

Cheers, Ken

Hi @William.Smith, thanks for flagging this! I wasn’t able to reproduce the same behavior on my end — when creating frames with the 16:9 aspect ratio they stayed consistent.

As a workaround, here are a few steps you can try to keep all slide sizes uniform:

  1. Create one frame using the 16:9 preset from the toolbar.

  2. Duplicate this frame (Ctrl/Cmd + D) whenever you need a new slide, instead of creating a fresh one.

  3. Once frames are set, you can lock them to prevent accidental resizing.

This way, every slide will keep the same size and ratio consistently.

Hope this helps!
