Not sure if this is expected behavior or if I’m doing something incorrectly. When using a shape on a miro board (specifically in a process map), I find that the font size within the shape will sometimes auto-increase if I create a shape and add text, but then edit the text later (the text editing step is when the font size changes). For example, I have been using font size 13, however when I edit the shape, the font size auto-increases to 21, so much of my text ‘disappears’ off the shape until I select all and reduce the font back to 13. I’m not sure why this is happening - has anyone experienced this? Is there perhaps a default setting I’m not aware of? Thanks
This behavior might occur because Miro automatically adjusts the font size based on the shape’s dimensions to optimize text visibility. To prevent this, you can manually set a fixed font size after creating the shape by selecting the text and specifying the size in the toolbar. This should stop the font from auto-scaling during edits. Additionally, check your board’s default settings to see if there’s a predefined font behavior for shapes. If the issue persists, try duplicating a shape with your preferred font size and use it as a template for consistency. If none of these solutions work, it could be a bug, and you might want to contact Miro Support for further assistance.
