Running confidential focus groups

I’m just starting a new research job, and am new to Miro. I would like to run a focus group using it, and since the employer doesn’t have a paid subscription (yet) I want to use the free version as a trial. But research protocol means that I have to have confidentiality, and I’m not clear if the free version allows this, as it says the boards can be shared with the group members- does that mean all of Miro, or only people in our research group?

@Grace Scrimgeour - The boards will only be accessible to members of your Free Plan team.

You can read more about the Free Plan team in the following Help Center article:

https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017730373-Free-Plan

And to keep things locked down, I would suggest that

  1. You create the team
  2. don't grant the Team Admin role to anyone else
  3. and in the Team profile settings → Permissions, set the following:

Also keep in mind that if the board’s “Team access” is set to “Can edit” (which it should be if you want your participants to be able to make changes on the board), they can also make the board publicly viewable to anyone outside of the team - note: the viewer would need the link as Miro doesn’t publicly publish these boards or allow search engines to index them.
