Hi!

Myself and my team members have been on the board for over 2 years. Then yesterday the board owner deleted it.
The board owner is a ex team member and I am not in contact with him. And he left the company about 1 year ago.

How can I recover data from this board? All our projects for two years on this board.....

Since you still have the board link, it is possible to restore the board, but only the owner can do it.

 

Since the original owner has left the company, we recommend checking with the Team Admin of the team where the board was stored because it is possible that the ownership was passed on to them. If so, have them try to restore the board by following the steps here: https://help.miro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017572614-How-to-restore-a-deleted-board#h_a2bcf311-44f5-4a45-95f8-13ee59f0b8e7. If the board could not be restored, please ask them to contact Miro Support directly, include the board link, and request restoration.

 

Unfortunately, if there is no Admin and the owner is unreachable, recovery may not be possible due to Miro’s data privacy policies.

​@Sergei Zubarev To summarize another option, if there is an active Team Admin, i.e., anyone other than the person who left the company, have them

  1. remove the previous board owner from the team.
  2. assign a new owner when prompted.
  3. have the new owner open the board - they should have the restore option:
