Hi @Chris Patten-Walker thanks for reaching out!

There’s a Miro Help Center article that provides instructions on how to recover your board if you’ve lost access to it. Have you tried any of the steps here? if yes, please let me know the result.

Hi. Yes I have tried. I wish you guys would not do this.

This issue usually happens when a board is deleted or ownership permissions change. Checking the Miro recovery window and email notifications can often help identify what happened.

Hi @Chris Patten-Walker, thanks for the details! I have your case converted to a support ticket. You should receive a response shortly.

I haven't touch my board for at least a couple of YEARS. Thinking they would be safe. I have not deleted the board, would be CRAZY of me to do so after spending YEARS working on the details. I am now told by support it was perm deleted on 18 Dec 2025. I have been chasing this before then.  I will have to cancel my subs if this is the case. Disappointed :-(

Hi @Chris Patten-Walker

I understand how frustrating this is, especially after years of work on the board.

Support confirmed that the board was moved to Trash on Sept 19, 2025, and permanently deleted on Dec 18, 2025. Once permanently deleted after the 180-day window, boards cannot be restored.

I know this isn’t the outcome you hoped for, but this follows Miro’s standard guidelines. If helpful, here are the tips for exporting and safeguarding important boards in the future.
