[RESOLVED] Right-click or 3-dot (ellipsis) not opening context menu

Okay, update: also on my MAC the right-mouse-click (and getting a link from a image of text-box) does NOT WORK anymore. What are you doing over there at Miro? This is even more annoying. Now I'm not able to place any reference links to the information on my boards at all. 
Very likely I'm not the only one experiencing these problems. Hope you will fix this soon!!

Wondering, as a quick solution for now. Is there also a way that I can copy the link of a text box or image with the key combination on the keyboard?

Hope somebody can help.

​@CryptoBert If reloading the current board doesn’t temporarily bring back the context menu after using the ellipsis, here are the shortcuts (replace Ctrl/Cmd, Alt/Option as required):

You can also use the  Link to shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd + Alt/Option + K) and then select the object you are trying to link to:

This problem is happening to me too - when I click on the 3 dots for 'more' nothing appears. It’s a huge problem cause I cannot unlock some of the frames, pictures, etc

I’m finding this issue intensely frustrating, almost to the point of making Miro unusable. I did the workaround on Tuesday (the last time I used Miro), but have found the same issue today. So do I need to do the workaround everything single day until the bug gets fixed? It’s a bit surprising the issue is still ongoing after 23 days.

Just back from being off for 3 weeks and 3-dots works FINE :-) 🙂

Not for us, we still experience the issue. Refresh or clearing cache/cookies seems to help at least temporarily, but still waiting for proper fix.

Suffering from the same issue. Hopefully this will be soon sorted out.

The update from the support team is that the issue should now be resolved. I'm travelling today without a computer and unable to test it for myself.

I am still seeing this issue using Chrome on Windows 11.

The issue isn’t present for Microsoft Edge

I logged out, I cleared the cache and cookies but nothing has fixed it

​@CryptoBert I am still experiencing the issue in both Chrome and Edge and have alerted the support team.

The pattern seems to be: Upon first sign in of Miro (either Chrome or Edge), the ellipsis/context menu works. But, if you close the browser and reopen it and try again, it fails.

Hi Robert, I'm using a Brave-browser. And it is especially the ‘right-mouse-click’ on objects that I'm missing. The ‘option-menu’ does not open then, but I can work around it with the new keyboard-functions that you showed me! Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C and Alt+Cntrl+K that's all I need mostly! ;)

I’ve run into this issue too—sometimes the 3-dot menu just doesn’t open. Refreshing the page or clearing the cache usually fixes it for me, but it does seem like a recurring bug.

Our developers have already released a fix for the issue with the More (…) button not opening as expected. Could you please confirm if you’re still seeing the same behavior? It would be especially helpful if you could test this in an incognito/private browsing window or on a different browser/device to rule out caching or extension conflicts.

If it’s still happening, let us know so we can escalate further.

​@Eca  The issue is still occurring for me, even in incognito. A note re effectively reproducing in incognito: You need to sign in to Miro, then open a new tab, close the old tab, and go to miro.com/app/dashboard in newly opened tab - this is the closest way to mimic in incognito as, if you close the browser window, you need to sign in all over again.

I believe I found the same error in our internal error management system. I’ll report this back to the developer team so they can investigate it further, and I’ll update you as soon as I hear back from them.

Hello miro community, 

I have some problems regarding the extended menu. Whenever I want to something by using the three dots, nothing happens anymore. I cannot fade anything into the background anymore or anything else. Is there a new feature I haven’t found yet or is that a known issue? Some colleagues have the same problem.

Hi, I have the same issue, it says More but the menu does not open

I see the update saying the bug is fixed, but it’s still occuring me for.  I’m using Chrome.  The refresh workaround still works.  I can’t test it in an incognito tab due to our SSO/security setup.

Hi all, yes, it works again with me. I now have a new issue. Miro is constantly asking me to convert to DOC while pasting texts. Once, okay, no problem, but I've clearly added ‘do not show’ anymore in the text box I get after I click this one. However, Miro keeps asking me…
