When I use the keyboard shortcut in Miro’s doc object to turn a line into a checkbox item (cmd+opt+6) the item shows as checked and I need to uncheck it.

This breaks flow when I convert a bunch of lines at once since I then need to play an “uncheck the series of small boxes” mini-game to make sure incomplete items don’t accidentally get left marked complete.

@Nathan E - 100% agree! I thought I had created a Wish List item for this already, but not realize I did not.

Here are some GIFs I just created.

The default state of Doc checklist boxes should not be ON/checked:

This is unexpected and inconsistent with card checklists:

Actually, as I reread and test this, the fact that the behaviour is different between selecting the action and using the shortcut suggests to me that this could be a bug. I’ll open a support ticket and report back.

@Nathan E - Update from the support team:

I wanted to follow up on this ticket and let you know that the checklist issue has now been resolved. The keyboard shortcut now inserts a list with unchecked list items.

And just like that, the boxes are now unchecked by default – thanks dev team for the speedy turnaround! 🙏
