Publishing Images of Miro Board (Copyright)

Hey Miro Team,

I am planning to include screenshots of a Miro board that I created in my Master’s thesis, which will be published on a university platform. My university has asked me to seek formal permission for the use of these images. As indicated in Miro Community discussions, users retain ownership of the content they create; however, my university requires explicit confirmation.

Could Miro’s legal team please provide written permission or direct me to official documentation that confirms I am allowed to use screenshots of my own Miro boards in an academic thesis?

In addition, I would like to ask about one specific image that is based on Miro’s “User Journey Mapping” template. I used this template as a starting point and adapted it to my own needs. Am I permitted to include this adapted board image in my thesis as well?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Best,
Anna
