Prototypes without AI?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to create prototypes in the newly launched version, but just makes the screens by hand rather than go through the step of prompting to do something that I’ll just want to completely change anyway?

@Tadhg Kelly I believe that all plans have access to the Prototyping library, which lets you add screens, UI elements, etc. However, you won’t be able to use certain features (e.g., connector lines, preview mode) unless you purchase the Prototyping add-on.

Yup! You can still build prototypes manually — just skip the AI prompt and create your screens by hand using frames, shapes, and connectors like before. The AI step is optional, not required.

@Tadhg Kelly / @Angelina Harriet To clarify, even without using AI to create screens, without the add-on, you will not be able to:

  1. Create the Prototype formats:
  2. You also cannot create interaction connectors:
  3. And, therefore, you won’t be able to create interactive prototypes like this:

So, again, yes, you can manually create screens, but you will not be able to make them interact with each other. Instead, you will need to use the internal linking (i.e., Link to) feature.
